The ESI Scheme was first implemented in Bangalore District on 27.07.1958 covering about 48000 workers. The scheme is presently extended to all 30 districts of the state. The Sub-Regional office, Bangalore (North) Peenya started functioning w.e.f. 02.04.2009, with jurisdiction over parts of Bangalore Rural & Urban districts (Malleshwaram, Peenya, Yeshwanthpur, Nelamangala, Jalahalli, Hebbal, Doddaballapura, etc.) and the districts of Tumkur & Chikkaballapur. We have 6 ESIC Branch Offices, 12 ESIS Dispensaries & one DCBO under our jurisdiction. ESIC Hospital Peenya is located at a distance of 2 kms from our office. We provide social security benefits to 5,13,900 employees & 5,78,270 insured persons. We assist 14,419 covered employers in making compliance
